Pick-up
Your guide collects you from the place of your choice, in Bordeaux or nearby, then heads north, between the Gironde estuary and the ocean.
The Route des Châteaux
Along the Médoc's famous wine road, from Margaux towards Pauillac: the great estates go by as your guide tells their story.
First estate
Welcome from the estate team, a walk through the vines, a visit of the cellars and a guided tasting.
Lunch
A gourmet picnic among the vines, included. You can also choose a restaurant, at your own expense.
Second estate
Another visit, then a tasting of a selection of Médoc wines in the tasting room.
Return
Drop-off at your pick-up place at the end of the day.

What you will discover
A gravel terroir
Gravel and pebble soils that drain well and hold the heat, under an oceanic climate. You see it under your feet in the vines.
Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot
Cabernet Sauvignon leads on the Left Bank, blended with Merlot. It makes structured reds, built for ageing.
Barrel ageing
Hand harvesting, fermentation, then ageing in oak barrels: your guide explains what the wood brings to the wine.
Famous appellations
Margaux, Saint-Julien, Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe: the Route des Châteaux crosses the appellations that made Bordeaux's name.

The day starts at €250 per person. The price covers pick-up at the place of your choice, private transport, your guide all day, the Route des Châteaux, visits and tastings at two estates and the picnic.
How long is the day?
It is a full day, from pick-up in the morning to drop-off in the late afternoon. The exact times are set with you on confirmation.
How many estates do we visit?
Two estates, each with a guided visit and a tasting, as well as the Route des Châteaux.
Can we visit a classified growth?
Tell us your wishes in the form. Your guide chooses the estates according to their availability and confirms the programme before the day.
Is lunch included?
Yes, a gourmet picnic is included. If you prefer a restaurant, that is possible, at your own expense.
Where is the pick-up?
At the place of your choice: hotel, apartment, station, in Bordeaux or nearby. Drop-off is at the same place, or at another address if you tell us.
Can more than 8 people come?
Yes. Up to 8 guests, your guide drives you in their van. Beyond that, we add chauffeur-driven vehicles for the rest of the group.
